Lose 10 Pounds in a Week
Losing 10 pounds in a week is an understandable desire, but one should ask herself the question about how to do it, and about how healthy can this quick weight loss be for the body? If we only think at stretchmarks, which are permanent, and which are prone to appear following major weight fluctuations, we need first to assess the benefits of losing ten pounds in seven days, and only then proceed to losing this weight.
If you are convinced, there’s one diet you can try after consulting your doctor for permission: the Sacred Heart Diet. This diet is based on eating large quantities of a special soup, plus some other foods, like it follows:
Day One – Soup and fruit. (no bananas)
Day Two – Soup and vegetables (no dry beans, peas or corn), and then a baked potato with butter at dinnertime
Day Three – Soup, fruit and veggies (no potato!) By today, up to seven pounds could be shed!
Day Four – Bananas (at least three) and skim milk- on this day, the body will need calcium and potassium.
Day Five – Soup, 10-20 ounces of beef and tomatoes (one can or six fresh)
Day Six – Soup and as much beef and veggies you want
Day Seven – Soup, brown rice, veggies, unsweetened fruit juice
This is the weight loss soup recipe, in the article where I found out about it.
During the seven diet days you can drink as much water as you like, black coffee (no sugar, no cream), tea, cranberry juice or unsweetened fruit juice. Definitely give up alcohol and carbonated soft drinks.
While this doesn’t look like a dis-balanced diet, you could still try to count your calories to see how many you get each day. If your caloric intake is too low you’d lose weight, but you won’t have enough energy for your daily routine, so you might end up exhausted and feeling sick.
I always use to say that it’s better to be slightly overweight and healthy rather than slim and ill. How to lose weight is always a personal matter, as we are unique and so are our bodies. My 2 cents.
